How to validate the numbers in a textbox grid

0

Dear Team,

We have a survey where if a respondent mentions the total number of kids in a question, the next question will be for Name of child and their age for each of the total number of kids mentioned. There’s also a validation that if any of the childs age is not in between 1-14 then terminate the survey. How to do this? Please let us know.

Warm regards,

If I understand correctly, you only want respondents with children between the ages of 1 and 14 to complete the survey.  There are several ways to do this.  My team would use a series of qualifying questions to make sure that the respondent was ‘qualified’ to take the survey.   Each question would trigger a logic condition – depending on the answer the respondent would either see the next question or be sent to the THANK YOU page.

Use radio-button type questions for the qualifying questions.  This question type can trigger logic conditions on the same page.  I suggest that you set up a test survey and start playing with what questions to ask and how to build the appropriate logic conditions.  I also suggest that you review the SurveyGizmo documentation for examples of how to use question logic:

    https://help.surveygizmo.com/help/article/link/setup-question-logic

    https://help.surveygizmo.com/help/article/link/set-up-skip-logic

As to the question that appears in your posting title – there is no validation available within the TEXTBOX GRID type question.
