Upgraded account but survey didn’t upgrade

I started a surevy as a free accout and then realized I could only have 100 responses, so I upgraded to the basic level.  How can I have the current survey under the basic level so that I can have limited responses.  Currently users are getting a message stating the maximim respondents have been reached.
