The top or three two box reporting option is great but I have a question in the summary report. Can you see the breakdown of the top two (or three) box or use the all the answer options on a 1-10 scale? When I check to “use the answer title” only three numbers show (e.g., 10, 7, 3). In other words, is there a way to have access to the numeric answer options in the report and then to create a chart with top box scores? Or is it a one or the other scenario.
At this time, because it is not a built-in feature, the only option to toggle back and forth between standard reporting and the top-box style is to revert the reporting values back to unique values (rather than having them grouped, as in the top-box report). We generally don’t recommend changing your reporting values too often, and definitely not on a live survey.
Before changing your reporting values, be sure to check out best practices for doing so:
I hope this helps!
Below is a link to the article on how to do top box reporting. The issue is that if you report on Option Title, it does not convert back to show the 1 to 10 scale, it shows the numbers 3, 7, and 10.
Alexander~ the “top two or three” is not an option on the report itself, you first have to create “Reporting Values” for a multiple choice question. http://help.surveygizmo.com/help/article/link/reporting-values. Then, in your report, you de-select “Show answer title when displaying report”
I would love to know the answer to this question as well. I tried using custom reporting values to group Satisfied (the top 3 options) vs. Dissatisfied (the bottom 2 options). In my report, for this question, I unchecked “Show Answer title when displaying report.” and I got the result expected, it grouped Satisfied and Dissatisfied. Then, I thought if I unchecked it, I would get all 5 options in the report, but that is not how it worked. It changed the names, but kept the data in 2 groups. This would be valuable if it was just a reporting function, but if it locks your data in those reporting labels you create, there should be a warning against using.
What is the “top two or three” reporting option you are referring to? I don’t see that option in any reports I have. A screenshot may be most helpful.
