Hi,
My client is unable to open up a survey for some reason. They can click on a link but the survey doesn’t show up. This has happened to couple of patrons. Any ideas on what the reason could be. What happens is that they get a message that states “Sometimes this issue is caused by the email client that you’re using or other software you have installed such as antivirus software. You could try clicking on the link again or opening the email on another device and clicking on it there”
I was able to open and click through with no problems.
Best,
Reena
Thanks for send that message. How are you sending out the survey links? Are you sending out the links with an email program like ConstantContact or MailChimp that is adding tracking links? These tracking links are often blocked by email systems with high security settings.
What program is generating this message? At what point does the error message appear? Does this happen within an email program, or does the survey try to load and then fail?
Without knowing the entire sequence of events, it is hard to tell what is going on. If I were to guess, I would say that the email client has corrupted the link to the survey. There are a lot of online articles about this – it is a common problem. You can start with the SurveyGizmo documentation – http://help.surveygizmo.com/help/article/link/best-practices-how-to-improve-your-survey-email-invitations
