I have recently set up a very short survey with only 3-4 questions including 1 photo uploading question.
However, only some of the results from respondents are recorded (about 30%), other results just don’t show in the result (not shown as partials etc.).
Have previously set up surveys without the photo uploading question type and they all worked fine.
Anyone have this experience and thoughts please?
This is a difficult problem to diagnose without having access to your survey. It means that your fellow SurveyGizmo users can only offer educated guesses as to what is going wrong.
My team’s first step to diagnosing to this problem would be to export the responses and review them in Excel. This gives us a good overall view of the survey and helps us locate problems. If it is available in your account, a fall-off report could be useful too. See the SurveyGizmo documentation for details – https://help.surveygizmo.com/help/fall-off-statistics
It is unclear from your posting what role the file upload questions plays in your problem. We would probably check to make sure that the question is setup to accept the correct file format and anticipated file size.
Do your respondents know that they will be asked to upload a photograph before they start the survey? When we have used this question type, the respondents always know in advance that they will be asked to upload a document or photograph as part of their response. We did not want to put them in the position of having to suddenly figure out how to navigate to whatever cloud account they use to store their photos.
If you can provide us with more details on the problem, we can offer better guidance and suggestions.
