[Solved] Styling of the Required Question Indicator

0

On the mobile format, the indicator that a question is required (*) is causing formatting problems.  As you can see in Q2 below it is adding extra spacing between the line before it and the line that the * is located on.

Is there some way to remove that extra spacing.

Also there are issues where the * shows up in the next line so the * is hanging on it’s own.  Is there a way to get it to stay with the last character of the question text?

    Hey Jon!

    You’re rocking Community lately! Thanks so much for being a bigpart of it! 😀

    The only way to alter that spacing would be with CSS. It will be unique to your survey so it might be good to hire a developer to help consult you with this.

    Regarding the *, other than adding some advanced CSS you could turn off your required stars in Style and go into your question and manually type a * and turn it red.

    If you wanted to do hide the star for just one question, you could go to the layout tab of that question and add a CSS hook (it can be any name). I used hidestar in my example.

    Next add your red star to that question.

    Now go to Style>Customize Theme>Custom and paste the following in the CSS.

    .hidestar .sg-required-icon {
    display:none;
    }

    That will hide the required star and hopefully allow you a little more control over where the star is in that question.

    I hope that helps!
