[Solved] SGUID or Campaign if I sent emails manually

0

Hi,

I will send out my survey to roughly 300 people and require Save & Continue as well as answer mapping to respondent. I will not send out the emails via SG website, but will send them out myself individually with their unique link.

I understood how this can be done with either campaigns or simply adding a sguid. I am just not sure if there are any differences or disadvantages that I am not aware of.

I also understand that campaigns use sguids, but the URLs look still very different!?

Thanks,

Andreas

    Hi Andreas,

If you want to automatically track your responses to the email addresses that correspond to each link, then the campaign method is best.

An email campaign link contains a contact ID within the link that ties the link to a specific email… the sguid itself guarantees that the link is one-time-use, save and continue, but the sguid in and of itself is not the identifying parameter in the link.

    Hope that helps!
