Ho SurveyGizmo team,
I want to set date type question but I only want to make the respondent to choose month and year without the date. I dont want to show the date in the option. How can i do that? Tks
You could start with a text box question. And then, under the VALIDATION tab select ANSWER FORMAT > REGEX (https://help.surveygizmo.com/help/textbox-answer-formats#regex-patterns-for-complex-validation).
REGEX is an acronym for ‘regular expression’. You can research the details yourself, but in the context of SurveyGizmo, regex lets you create custom validation patterns.
If you select REGEX as the ANSWER FORMAT, you will see a drop-down menu with many of the most common regex patterns. The bad news is that the one you want is not among them. The good news is that you can go online and find just about any pattern you want, or learn to create your own. I found the following pattern at RegExLib.com:
This pattern will validate data entry in m/yy, mm/yy. m/yyyy, and mm/yyyy formats.
You should also use a HTML PLACEHOLDER (https://help.surveygizmo.com/help/placeholder-text) to help guide your respondents.
