Apologies if this is a repetition, but I did search the forum.
I’m creating an email request form so that other departments can ask marketing to send emails for them. The main part of it will be an essay box for them to write in what they want the email to say. Marketing will be doing all of the design and formatting of the actual email so that it is in house style, but it would be helpful if departments were able to specify basic formatting such as bold and italic.
Firstly, is there any way to allow respondents to format their answers in essay boxes?
Secondly, if yes, is there any way to control which formatting they can use? e.g. allow them to use bold and italic, but not change text colours or paragraph alignment?
Thanks in advance.
There are no settings that would allow respondents to use a WYSIWYG editor to submit text responses.
I am not sure that enabling formatting for respondents would be the best solution to this problem. In a similar situation my preference would be for respondents to write their submissions in MS Word (or whatever you use) and then use the FILE UPLOAD question (https://help.surveygizmo.com/help/file-upload) to submit their text. This would allow you direct access to a usable file rather than trying to extract text and coding from a CSV file.
