Update (2/22) – This update concerning new survey links is live (details below). Please contact our Support team with any questions or concerns!
In an effort to improve survey security, all NEW survey links will use the secure protocol (https). Https links use what is called Secure Socket Layer to transport data safely between client and survey by using an encryption algorithm.
Change Survey Link to Use http Protocol
All paid users will have the ability to change to use the non-secure protocol (http). Follow these steps to do so:
- Go to the Share tab of your survey.
- Click the option to Customize below the Primary Share Link.
- Select Normal under the Secure options.
- Click Done and Save. Your link will now be using the http protocol.
What About My Old Survey Links?
Long term we plan to force all links, including old survey links, to use the https. If you wish to change an existing survey link to use the https protocol you’ll need to follow the above steps and select the Secure option on a link-by-link basis.
Is there a timeline for this update? How long do I have before my old survey links will be forced to use the new protocol?
Thanks – I’m updating my older surveys as quickly as possible. I created a survey just a couple of weeks ago that did NOT automatically have the secure protocol, so I have to update that one too.
