Will Lua allow custom scripting to update live on a page (similar to javascript), or will it only load when the page first load (similar to the current PHP based scripting)?  I love how custom script lets you easily manipulate individual questions.  However, a huge drawback it can’t do that manipulation if it is on the same page as the question (i.e. I can’t pull the values that people enter into a question, sum them, and give the result all on the same page with custom scripting like I can with javascript).

      • Hi Steve,

Great question! Lua does indeed function in the same way as Custom Scripting, in that both are ‘server-side’ languages. Lua will require information to be submitted to our servers before it can be used to affect/update elements on the survey.

        I hope this helps clarify!
