Piping and repeating

Hi I am trying to pipe selected responses into the two following questions e.g.

Q1

Which, if any, of these common childhood illnesses has {NAME} had in the last 12 months?

  • Hay-fever
  • 3. Ear infections
  • 4. Asthma
  • 5. Whooping cough or pertussis
  • 6. Other respiratory disorders including chest infections, bronchiolitis, bronchitis, pneumonia
  • 7. Cough lasting more than four weeks
  • 8. Wheezing in the chest

Q2

What type(s) of treatment has {NAME} had for {HIS/HER} {Condition 1} in the last 12 months?

  • No treatment
  • 1. Medicines, pills, or inhaler from a GP or medical specialist
  • 2. Medicines, pills, or inhaler from an alternative health practitioner
  • 3. Surgical procedure
  • 4. Physical/occupational/speech therapy

and Q3

How many of those times has {HE/SHE} been admitted to hospital due to {Condition 1} in the last 12 months?

  • Never
  • 1. Number of times _ _ (range 1-90)
  • 99. Don’t Know

I can get it piped into the first but not the second – can you please send some instructions on how to do this

Many thanks

Cherie

Hi Jim thanks for your message – if one or more conditions are selected in Q1, then the following information is required in Q2 & 3 for each condition.

    Hopefully that is clearer

    Many thanks

    Cherie

      Hi Cherie,

Can you please clarify that nature of your problem.  Are you saying that the merge code for {Condition 1} is working in Q2, but not Q3?

Piping and repeating has to do with using responses from one question as possible responses for following questions.  If I understand your question correctly, this is not really the problem here.
