Piping or filtering answers from Checkbox into rows of a Custom Table

Hey, wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to pipe responses from a checkbox question into the rows of a Custom Table?

OR filtering the rows in a Custom Table based on responses from a checkbox question similar to https://script.surveygizmo.com/help/piping-checkbox-to-grid

Would love to hear from anyone that has any suggestions or has previously written a script for this!

Thanks, Joel!!

(FYI have an Enterprise Account if anyone is wondering)

My favorite way of doing this uses Javascript. Are you still looking for a solution for this problem? I’m available for consulting and can definitely get you a reusable fix. Let me know if you’d like to connect!

      • Hi Caitlin, while we found a work around for the project at hand, this has come up for us a couple of times now, so it would be great to touch base 🙂

@Rebecca : SurveyGizmo offers carry forward options at the answer option, question, and page level:

      Answer Options: https://help.surveygizmo.com/help/option-piping

      Questions: https://help.surveygizmo.com/help/question-repeating

@Joel : I don’t personally have a solution/workaround for the custom table, but perhaps using a different question and one of the above solutions might be an option?

        • Thanks Dominic, yes at the moment I’ve broken the question down into two questions at the moment and i’m using the piping options.

Was just hoping someone might have worked out a workaround/script as this is something I’ve needed to do quite a few times – I was just wanting to provide a rating scale and comments for each item (that has been selected in the previous checkbox question) all included in one question/custom table.

I’m looking for this same information – basically – can you ‘carry forward’ selected responses from an earlier question.

We are considering purchasing SurveyGizmo, but I first need to make sure it will do everything we need it to!
