[Solved] Pipe in Essay Response

0

I want to pipe in an essay response to a later text object. When I enter the merge code using the question number like this:

[question(“value”), id=”14″]

The “14” is clearly not referencing the number of question displayed to survey takers, but some other hidden question value.  How do I find out what that hidden value is for my questions so that I can pipe in the correct value?

    • In other words, how do I find out the item id? It’s not the auto numbering and I don’t see it when I edit the question.

    Hey Don!

Thanks so much for using Community!

I wanted to chime in here and let you know about a couple features. One feature we have is the Survey Legend. It will show you the ID of everything. Another option is to turn on page IDs and question IDs at the top of the page.

    I hope this helps!

I found the answer.  The question ID can be found if you create a script and the select “question and page id lookup”.  Sort of simple.  Would be nice to have it visible in the question itself in some tab or other.  But this works!
