Pass user data from WordPress to a SurveyGizmo survey

0

I’m interested in passing through information associated with logged in users from a WordPress site into a SG survey. Need pretty simple user info such as first name, last name, email address auto-populated in an embedded survey, so that these don’t need to be retyped by a logged in user. What is the best way to do this? Is a third party app required?

I’m not sure if a third party app is needed. My first thought is that URL variables might be an option. SurveyGizmo surveys can capture URL variables that are passed in via the survey link:

If you can somehow merge your WordPress data into the survey URL, it might be a good option.

The second option worth considering could be a Webhook. SurveyGizmo can capture data via Webhook, perhaps there is a way to send data from WordPress to SurveyGizmo using this feature:

    Hope this helps!

You might want to check on any potential privacy and security issues.  If I understand what you are trying to do, you want to extract personal identification information from the user profiles of your WordPress site and pass it into a survey that has been embedded in the site. Unless you really need names and email addresses for your survey, it might be better to just extract the USER ID.

I am not sure how you could pass this information to an embedded survey.  I have never tried this myself, but it looks like it might be possible to add a URL variable to the survey link included in the embed code.

      Good luck!
