If I get out of a survey before completion, can I go back in at a later time to complete the survey?

    Hi there!

We have a great option called Save and Continue. If this feature is enabled, your respondent can save where their left off and then go back in and complete their survey.

This only works if this feature is turned though. A standard link does not behave this way.

Check out our tutorial that walks you through this process. :)

      • Is there a way to have SurveyGizmo look at a URL variable to determine where the respondent is up to? Let’s say the link is http://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/XXXXXX/Redirect?pid=37790, and they answer 5 out of 10 questions and then hit the “X” button on the browser. Later, they click the same link as above, can SurveyGizmo continue from question 6 since that person has a unique variable (pid=37790)?

      • Hi there! Apologies for the delay in my response. :) I am sorry to say that as of now we do not have the save and continue setup in way that would dynamically capture the page they are working on. An alternative that you could work with would be to use our email actions and the edit link and target a specific page so that when the respondent is sent their edit link (instead of using the save and continue option) they will be taken directly to where they left off. But this would be a manual process. You could set this up on multiple pages, and use logic to trigger that action to run, say if they choose Yes I want to save and come on a Radio button question. Unfortunately right now none of this is automated. Take a look at: http://help.surveygizmo.com/help/article/link/return-respondents-to-a-later-page

I know this is a ton of info in this comment section, but be sure to chat us or email us at support@sgizmo.com and we would be happy to discuss this you! :) I hope this is a great starting point for you!

As always, we are happy to be of service. Have a rocking’ day!

      • Hi, I just found it. If you append &__sguid_alias=pid to the link so it takes the sguid that gizmo collects and links it to whatever parameter you use. So the link would look like – http://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/XXXXXX/Redirect?pid=37790&__sguid_alias=pid. So whenever that person clicks that link, they will pick up where they left off
