[NOTICE] SurveyGizmo API Authentication Changes

Dear API User,

In an effort to increase the security of our API we are making changes to the authentication options.

In November 2015 we launched the option to use an API Key and API Secret Key and announced plans to sunset the options for authentication using either the password (user:pass) or hash (user:md5) authentication options.

That time is upon us! Effective March 31, 2016 the password and md5 authentication methods will no longer work. Be sure to update your programs with the API Key/API Secret Key authentications before then to ensure that everything continues to function.

See our documentation for more details: http://apihelp.surveygizmo.com/help/article/link/authentication

Happy Surveying!

SG Admin asked
    • Will generating an API key and and API secret disable the user/pass authentication for that user?
Or will both authentication types continue to work in parallel until March 31?

    • Hi there,

Great question! Both authentication types will continue to work in parallel until March 31st.

      Best regards,
