MS Access Export

Most of our reports are built in MS Access rather than on-line. As an ex-FluidSurveys user (damn SurveyMonkey), I appreciated their option to export responses in columns rather than rows. My data from them looked like this…

Respondent1, Question1, Response, Comment
Respondent1, Question2, Response, Comment
Respondent1, Question3, Response, Comment
Respondent2, Question1, Response, Comment
Respondent2, Question2, Response, Comment
Respondent2, Question3, Response, Comment

SurveyGizmo only seems to be able to give it to me the responses in a row per respondent, like this…

Respondent1, Question1-Response, Question2-Response, Comment, Comment
Respondent2, Question1-Response, Question2-Response, Comment, Comment

Can’t figure out how to easily convert or transpose the data to a format I can use, easily, because the data files are large. The Transpose function in Excel doesn’t do it, at least not that I can see. I’m no database whiz – I know how to do what I know how to do.

There must be others with a similar issue. Is there an easy way, short of asking SurveyGizmo to add an export for database use.

Am trying to decide whether to buy an Enterprise license, and this is the sticking point, so a quick reply appreciated.

Not sure how helpful this is, but have you looked into SurveyGizmo’s Webhook feature? It allows you to send data directly from your survey to an external database:
