I’m on a free membership at the moment with my charity, and we have an ongoing survey with you. When the organisation migrates to its new system, and if we can’t upgrade to the paid membership, will our survey migrate to the new free system – will there be any difference to the user or to us? will there be any loss of results under the old system?

Once the migration to the new Free Account is made (in February), you will have the option to either convert your existing free account to the new free account or to upgrade to a paid account.
Should you chose to go with the new Free Account, there are several changes to be aware of. These changes are described here:
Any data that you have previously collected will not be affected, but the limits described in the above will be applied to active surveys.
