mobile survey tracking responses on different occasions

How can i build a mobile survey where whenever a respondent drinks a beer over a 7 day period, they can immediately log brand, date, time, GPS and a single satisfaction rating?  Note, there will be a few questions before and after the 7 day period for each respondent.

The before and after questions are no problem.  The beer consumption diary is where i need help.  I would like the respondent to enter the data immediately following the beer consumption…and the consumption is spread randomly over the 7 days.  Some days 0 beers are consumed and on others more than 1..in one sitting or multple sittings.

I want to tie the pre and post data with the beer consumption data for each respondent.  How can i build this in a mobile survey which makes it easy and friendly for the respondent?(dont want them to enter login and password for a whole bunch of different surveys!)

SurveyGizmo has documentation around setting up a ‘diary survey’ but since your respondents will not be taking the survey at regular intervals, it likely isn’t an ideal solution:

My suggestion would be to create a survey where respondents have a link they can access anytime they need to. I’m assuming that the respondents would need some way to identify that a response is coming from them.

You could look into setting this up by giving each respondent a link that has a URL variable appended to it. This would pass data into the survey that could later be used to look at all responses from the same link:

    https://help.surveygizmo.com/help/using-url-variables-in-surveys

Your survey link could look something like this: surveylink.com?user=1234 (each response via this link would be tied to respondent ‘1234’ or some other unique identifier). You could also filter your reports to view only the ‘1234’ data.

I’m not sure how you are hoping to have the data output – that will ultimately determine how flexible you can be with how you share the survey.

Hope this gives you some ideas!
