[Solved] Merge Code: Combine

0

Heyho!

I would like to replace some displayed verbs from a checkbox question which are separated with ” and “.

Apart from the given criteria, are there other important aspects we have missed that were extremely important or not important to you when [question(“value”), id=”261″,delimiter=” and “] lighting products?

Result:
Apart from the given criteria, are there other important aspects we have missed that were extremely important or not important to you when installed and purchased lighting products?

The verbs should be replaced by “installing and purchasing“.

I have already inserted the following replace strings to the merge code:

  • [question(“option value”), id=”261″,delimiter=” and “, option=”10678″, replace=”recommended for purchase”, with=”recommending”, option=”10679″, replace=”specified”, with=”specifying”, option=”10680″, replace=”installed”, with=”installing”, option=”10681″, replace=”purchased”, with=”purchasing”, option=”10682″, replace=”operated/ maintained”, with=”operating/ maintaining”]
    –> no verb was displayed
  • [question(“value”), id=”261″,delimiter=” and “, replace=”recommended for purchase”, with=”recommending”, replace=”specified”, with=”specifying”, replace=”installed”, with=”installing”, replace=”purchased”, with=”purchasing”, replace=”operated/ maintained”, with=”operating/ maintaining”]
–> only ”operated/ maintained” was replaced by “operating/ maintaining”

      This help page:

      https://help.surveygizmo.com/help/merge-code-customizations

specifies near the end that each answer option replacement requires its own merge code. The problem for you is that this will not work with the delimiter option, so you will have to do something different.

Is there a reason you couldn’t just enter the replacement values as the reporting values for the original question?
