LUA scripting to generate a PDF certificate

0

Does anyone have an idea of how to convert this type of script (creating a PDF certificate with the respondent’s name) using LUA scripting? I had used the legacy scripting resources in SurveyGizmo to generate this type of certificate, but now it doesn’t work anymore. They said they were moving to LUA but the legacy stuff would work for a while. It appears that they have already shut it down. I could really use an example to help.

Thanks

– Rick

    The new documentation for LUA has examples that you can use to help make the transition  – https://luascript.surveygizmo.com/help#certificate.

      Hi Rick,

      SurveyGizmo has not deprecated the legacy Custom Scripting functionality. It seems like what you are running into perhaps a similar problem as discussed here:

      https://community.surveygizmo.com/questions/question/error-opening-pdf-email/

      I ran into this as well, and it looks like the issue is related to landscape layout of the PDF. Setting the landscape parameter (second parameter) to false in the Custom Script should allow you to work around this issue:

      sgapiHTMLTOPDF(%%contents, false, false);

      I hope this helps!
