Log-in action pre-populated field not behaving correctly

I’m using a log-in action to pre-populate several fields. (survey title: Managed Care Services  Monthly Update Quiz for September – FY17Q2 Core) The field is included in my uploaded file and when I look up a participant the fields are all populated correctly.

Specifically I’m looking at the field “Responder Email.”

The issue is when the participants submit the survey the email address is not populated, and consequently they are not getting the email showing their quiz results. (Image below shows no email address in the “Responder Email” field.)

    How should the ‘Respondent Email’ field be populated? Is this something the respondent is filling out themselves or something that you are pre-populating via a merge code/pulling in from the URL, etc.? Or is it perhaps being populated via the login/password combination?

    If this field is pre-populated in some way via merge code, I would make sure that the appropriate merge code is referenced.

    Keep in mind that users (like yourself) in the Community do not have access to each others surveys/accounts, etc.
