I’d like to export checkboxes to Google Doc in same manner as export of report allowing to be concatenated with semicolon’s instead of one column per response, is this limited to exports and not google docs?
The Google Spreadsheet integration does not allow for checkbox data to be sent in one column (separated by semicolons), I am sorry to say. Each checkbox option must be mapped to a separate column in your Google spreadsheet.
I believe the option to report on checkbox questions in a single column only appears in CSV/Excel exports.
I hope this helps answer your question!
Although each checkbox must map to its own column, you can manually combine the text of those columns in your spreadsheet. This works the same as Excel. See link below for exact syntax.
You can add semicolons or commas with by including &”;”& between answers. (Or, to avoid displaying a bunch of semicolons for answers that were not checked, add a semicolon to the end of your custom reporting value for each answer.)
Then, hide all those individual columns for each individual checkbox answer, so you’re left with one consolidated column.
The only downside is that you have to paste the formula into each row after data is collected (I think) as opposed to making the spreadsheet do it automatically as responses come in.
