[Solved] How to send to 150+ recipients with Salesforce integration?

0

Hello. We use Salesforce (SF) as the backbone of our company, and we’ve figured out how to integrate Salesforce and SurveyGizmo (SG) to the point that we can take the survey link from SG then send it out through an email from SF with the SF contact ID of the recipient and their responses will populate a table in SF with their answers and be linked to their SF Contact ID.

However, it’s like a 5 step process for each recipient sending to to get them out this, and some of our surveys target hundreds of people. So does anyone know a way to send out in bulk to lots of recipients while still having the connection between Salesforce and SurveyGizmo?

I’m assuming it’d be exporting a CSV file from SF with the contact’s SF Contact ID in it and other relevant data, importing that into SG, and then sending them out from there, but I’m not sure how to do it. Anyone tackled this issue yet?

Thanks in advance,

Jordan

    Hi Jordan! I think the best way to do this would be to use a merge field in the Salesforce email, actually. Here’s their documentation on that: https://help.salesforce.com/apex/HTViewHelpDoc?id=valid-merge-fields.htm&language=en and https://help.salesforce.com/apex/HTViewHelpDoc?id=merge_fields_email_templates.htm

    Following that, your link in your Salesforce send would look something like http://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/12345/mySurvey?cid={!Account.AccountNumber}

    http://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/12345/mySurvey = default link to the survey

    ?cid= a URL variable you assign. You could use that to look up the contact in a SF action in your survey.

    {!Account.AccountNumber} = the SF merge field for account number / id. This will dynamically bring in the ID for each contact that the email is sent to through SF.

    Hope this helps! Let me know if you need any additional clarification. Thanks!
