I need the certificate to generate/include the person’s name. Does anyone know how to do this, maybe extract it from their registration/sign up. Thank you
If you have a PRO or ENTERPRISE level account, you can develop a custom script that will generate a certificate and email it to the respondent.
There is an article at this link with a working example and code that you copy and customize – https://script.surveygizmo.com/help/article/link/certificate
We have adapted this script for several surveys. Once you understand how it works it is very easy to adapt.
You can certainly include additional fields. You would need to add additional variables to the script and fetch the associated data (this is the first part of the script). These would be configured in the same way as the first 3 in the example:
You would then need to add a corresponding CSS section for your new fields (essentially repeating the .name, .course, etc. sections.
Depending on your comfort level with scripting you may want to reach out to SurveyGizmo’s Programming Services Team:
Hope this helps!
Does anyone have an idea of how to convert this type of script (creating a PDF certificate with the respondent’s name) using LUA scripting? I had used the legacy scripting resources in SurveyGizmo to generate this type of certificate, but now it doesn’t work anymore. They said they were moving to LUA but the legacy stuff would work for a while. It appears that they have already shut it down. I could really use an example to help.
I am using the working example, but I am wondering if I can include more than three fields (ie, Name, Course).
