[Solved] How to automatically tag all contacts who fill in the form?

How do we automatically tag all the contacts who fill in the survey so they are correctly identified as one group when Zapier sends them to ActiveContact? Right now they are not identifed as coming through Survey Gizmo at all.

    Hi Lindsay,

When using Zapier to integrate SurveyGizmo with another application, unfortunately there is not a way to tag contacts that are added from a SurveyGizmo survey to your contact management system.

One option here is to create a Hidden Value on your survey titled ‘Contact Source’ or something along those lines:

    http://help.surveygizmo.com/help/article/link/hidden-values

You can then populate the Hidden Value with text such as ‘SurveyGizmo Survey’. Next, inside the contact management system where you are adding contacts from the survey via Zapier, create a ‘field’ within your list which will capture the information from the Hidden Value.

You can title this field something along the lines of ‘contact source’.

Next, in Zapier map the Hidden Value field in your survey to the new ‘source’ field in your contact management system. This way, if a person fills out your survey and is added as a contact, the ‘SurveyGizmo Survey’ text would be passed from the Hidden Value into the ‘source’ field in your contact management system.

    I hope that helps!

        Hi David,

Thanks! Actually Zapier provides a way, you simply fill in the tag you want in the tag field, and it will pass that tag through and attach it to the contact.

        regards,

        Lindsay
