i am planning to have a reward system for people who answer our surveys, so i was looking in the help community to find how to create unique survey links and how will i be able to tell which is which when i export my survey data. i would also like to know if users who are not in the mail list but instead click on a url posted on my social media page will be able to take part in the survey and how will i be able to tell them apart.
This is a complex process and the choices that you make are going to depend on your exact needs and requirements, so it is difficult to provide you with a definitive answer.
You can create unique survey links for known individuals by adding their names and emails addresses to the survey’s contact list – http://help.surveygizmo.com/help/article/link/create-unique-links. You can then use SurveyGizmo’s email function to send the survey links to the contacts. Or you can export the unique links in an MS Excel spreadsheet and use alternative methods to distribute the links.
As responses come in, you can use the contact list to monitor exactly who has responded – http://help.surveygizmo.com/help/article/link/create-unique-links#pairing-responses-with-email-addresses
For responses entered through social media pages, you can create links with URL variables (http://help.surveygizmo.com/help/article/link/url-merge-codes). You could use the variables to trigger logic paths that would open additional questions to collect contact information from the respondent.
Other members of the Community might have additional information to share, and there have been a few earlier conversations regarding incentives. I hope that this is enough to get you started (and remember to test early and often).
