I recently realized I launched a survey with an error. I caught the error after the survey had collected some data. How do I exclude the data from the erroneous version?
You can just use a filter in your reports. There’s lots of filtering options you have, including one that allows you to leave out certain response IDs. Here’s sg’s tutorial explaining all of the filtering options you have: http://help.surveygizmo.com/help/article/link/filter-report-data. You could also just delete those responses from your individual responses section so they don’t appear in reports too.

Thanks for your question, and adding to what Chat wrote, it is really easy to delete individual survey responses. From your dashboard, open your survey, click Results at the top of the screen, then Individual Responses. Here you’ll see a list of the responses. Simply check the ones you want to delete, and in Select a Bulk Action, choose Delete Selected Responses.
