I downloaded the excel results of the survey and one of the column fields is ‘city’. How is the city data retrieved for responders. Is it based on their IP address?
If someone is traveling and using their mobile (does it show the city of where they are responding from or where their phone is registered (i.e. where they live).?

As far as mobile devices, if the survey response is submitted via the cell phone network and not wifi, you might not get the geodata info. If the phone does use a wifi, the city would be based on the IP address of that network.

You may also see instances where there is no geolocation recorded for a response. This occurs when the respondent’s browser is not sharing location information, or if the respondent’s computer is part of a VPN.
