[Solved] Copy response to new response

We are thinking about building a survey to gather information from our various organizations. However, it’s possible that some organizations will need to fill out the survey several times for each of their entities, but much of their information will be the same. Is it possible for them to create a duplicate response or, if they contact me, for me to create a duplicate for them to change?

    Hi, Darrel!
Great question! I would suggest to provide that company with an edit link. You can either grab it from their existing response, or, create an email action at the end of your survey with the merge code:

    [survey(“edit link”)]

If you decide to go with the email action, this will make it so you don’t have to dig for their response, but it will send to everyone without any logic. You can always set display logic on your email action so if you know they are going to need their link later to update their response, you can conditionally trigger the email;)

Here is a link to our documentation for edit links: http://help.surveygizmo.com/help/article/link/send-an-edit-link

and just in case you want it, here is a link for our email actions:)

Let me know if you have any questions:)
