Contact Name is not being added to Survey Email



I am using the [contact(“first name”)] in my survey email campaign and am tying to create personnel email message based on the contacts that I have uploaded to the tool. I have tagged the first name column from the excel file to the first name field from the tool. When I go to test the email I see a default first name appearing, ‘John’, and not the one from my contacts. Can you please help with this?

    This is because you are using a ‘test’ email. The test email does not pull from your contact file, it just sends to the email address that you specified in the test window.

    If you need to test the merge codes in your message, the best option it to copy your campaign, upload a few contacts to the copy and send the copy live.
