How can I make comments mandatory basis the selection for the question

0

Hi,

My Survey question has 6 options and a comments box that will appear once any option is selected (I could not find a way to show the comments box along with the 6 options all the time – let me know if there is a way to show the comments box without a new question number just for the comments).

The other challenge that I need help with is – I need to make the comments mandatory for all selection except for 1 option. So out of the options – 1,2,3,4,5,6 if the user selects ‘3’ – he may not enter the comments but for any other selection comments are mandatory.

Can you please help me how to go about this? Thanks so much for your help.

Warm Regards,

Brenda

    Hi Brenda,

If you wish to display comments as part of your questions we have a comment field that you can turn on for all questions.

Here is a tutorial with more info:

    https://help.surveygizmo.com/help/comments

That said if you are using Essay questions and they are on a subsequent page from the question you wish to use in your conditions you can do the conditional require you are looking to do.

Here is the documentation on this feature:

    I hope this helps!
