Combination of branching (A/B split testing) and randomization

I have a question concerning a mix of two functions, branching and randomization. I had a look through the forum which was really helpful on both topics and I understand how to go on about these individually, but my question is about the compatibility of both options together.

My questionnaire will have a few pages in the beginning for both groups, then a few pages which I would like to randomize and for which there is a version A and B needing to be split 50/50.

Is it compatible to use randomization (of groups of pages, pages within those groups and answers) within split branches?

Thanks a lot for your help, I really appreciate it!

All the best, Sophi

You should be ok to do this – I would certainly recommend extensive testing to make sure that everything is working the way you want it to when you set this up.

The most important aspect of this will be the order of operation for setting everything up.

Like you said, you will have a few pages that everyone will see…

On the last page that everyone will see is where I would add the Branching Action for the subsequent pages.

As long as you don’t randomize any pages before the Branching Action, or the page that the Branching Action is on, you will be fine.

I hope this helps! Good luck setting up and testing!
