[Solved] Changing values generated

Hi,  I am new to SurveyGizmo and just built my first survey.  I tested it and exported the data to SPSS.  When I opened it up, I found that while I was able able to specify the SPSS Variables, the values are a mess.

For instance, my second question is a radio button question.  There are four response options: 1 child; 2 children; 3 children; and, four children.

In my SPSS data the labels for Q2 show up fine: 1 child; 2 children; 3 children; and, four children.  However the data values generated are: 10005; 10006; 10007; and, 10008.  My expectation and desire are to have these values be: 1; 2; 3; and 4.

Is there a way to force or set the value rather than have the system dictate what they are?

    Hi Jeff,

When setting up a question Click on “Advanced Option Settings” then move the radio button to “Custom and hit “Save”:

After you do that a second column will appear next to your answer options “Reporting Value”. Change that to whatever you want your SPSS values to be.
