Capturing time it takes a user to respond and actions

0

Is there anyway possible to (hopefully easily), capture the time it takes a user to respond to an item.  I.e. the moment the item appears, how long does it take the user to react.

Along those lines, is it possible to design interaction, and mouse/action tracking (e.g. when and the motion of a user dragging an item around…etc.)

Unfortunately there is no easy  way to do this within SurveyGizmo.

There is a timing function that will allow you to measure the amount of time a page is open (https://help.surveygizmo.com/help/record-time-spent-on-page-in-milliseconds).  But this timer ends when the NEXT button is pressed, which is not what you are asking about.

If you are proficient with JavaScript you could develop a custom script that would measure time from when the script fires until an onclick event in the target question is recorded.  The problem with this would be that you would have no way of knowing exactly when the question appears to the respondent.  If you are looking for accuracy to the 1/100 of a second this could be a problem.

I am not sure what you are asking for in the second part of your question.  Are you asking whether it is possible to track and record the respondent’s mouse interaction?

Are you trying to get SurveyGizmo to perform a usability test that would normally be done with eye-tracking equipment?
