Is it possible to point the user to the survey answer straight for the survey link?
For example, in a satisfaction survey I can add two links, one for satisfied and the second for not satisfied. When the user selects one on these links the answer in the survey, to which he will be redirected, is already checked (based on the link he chose).
I use the Default Answer option paired with the URL Variable option Jim mentioned. Here’s how I do it:
- Add the URL Variable to the link like this: http://help.surveygizmo.com/help/article/link/url-merge-codes#adding-url-variables-to-survey-links There are other ways to add URL variables to links too, but this is the one I use for my survey.
- Save the URL Variable on the first page of the survey in a Hidden Value so I have it available to do the Default Answer on my question. I also make that hidden value on an automatically submitted page before my regular pages to the survey so that I can use that hidden value right away with my first page shown to the respondent.
- Then I use this for checking the right answer: http://help.surveygizmo.com/help/article/link/preselect-answer-option
I hope that helps. The docs always save my butt on doing these kinds of things.
You can use URL variable attached to the links to do this. This article describes a method for using URL variables to do something similar:
