Trying to populate a form from Salesforce by asking for a person’s email address and not the ID.
[textbox] Email: ____________
[action] Populate contact form from SF: email=’[contact(“email”)]’
[contactform] populated from SF
[action] Update SF data with contact form data
It seems like you should be able to populate based on email rather than an ID.
Per this doc:
Step 4 shows an example of capturing the ‘contactid’ from a url variable. I believe you can edit the sting here to say:
select * from Contact(or other object) where Email(instead of Id) = ‘[contact(“email”)]’
This might be a good place to start.
