Building a “hide my visit” escape route on each survey page – to protect battered women.

0

Hi everyone,

I am designing a series of surveys to collect information from survivors of domestic violence and abuse (battered women) and need to make it safe to use.

I need some code that will provide a quick escape route if a woman is taking the survey and her abuser walks in to the room.

I’ve found this code here: https://css-tricks.com/website-escape/

Which I’m trying to build into the website I’m building in squarespace that will host the surveys (not very successfully, I am new to website building).  But obviously I”ll need to use it in the surveys as well.

Does anyone know if this will work in SurveyGizmo or whether any modifications are needed?

Many thanks,

Tania

SurveyGizmo does support adding CSS and Javascript to a survey (a Pro Plan is required for Javascript).

CSS can be added via the Style page:

    https://help.surveygizmo.com/help/style-your-survey#custom-css-and-html

Javascript can be added via the Javascript Action:

    https://help.surveygizmo.com/help/adding-javascript-to-your-survey

The script should work in SurveyGizmo, but may need some visual modifications (it will probably take some trial and error).

SurveyGizmo also does offer a team that can help with customizations like this (in case it’s something that you want to explore):

While I don’t have extensive experience with scripting, perhaps another user in the Community is able to assist you further!

    I hope this helps!
