Bucketing Age in Reports

0

I have asked age as dropdown and now I’m needing to crosstab to other questions, but really wishing I could bucket age into 5-year increments.  Is there any way to do this in Survey Gizmo?

SurveGizmo stores response data so that it is private and secure from tampering.  This also means that there is no good way to go back and reformat the response data that your survey has already collected.  You could open and modify each of the individual responses, but that would open the response data to questions of tampering, so I cannot recommend this approach.  Your best option would be to export the response data to an Excel spreadsheet, add a column, place the appropriate bucket data in the cells, and then perform your analysis in Excel.

If it is really necessary for you to do your analysis in SurveyGizmo, you could import the modified Excel spreadsheet into a revised copy of the original survey (with the age bucket question added).  You would have to do some work to make sure that the values you add in Excel match the age-bucket question, but that is not difficult.  See the SurveyGizmo documentation for details – https://help.surveygizmo.com/help/data-import.

    Good luck.
