allowdupe flag in Contact Create API

0

Can anyone confirm if the allowdupe flag in the create contact API sub object is broken or not.

This appears to not create a new contact, just updates an existing one if the email address matches. This used to work fine in the past. If this was changed on purpose, can it be switched back?

    Hey David,

That helps a ton and thanks for providing a reasonable estimate on timeline. I know that it’s hard to really say when a feature is being worked on or not. I look forward to any news when you are able to provide it.

All the best and have a great day.

        Thanks David,

I’ll read up on the V3 version to make sure it doesn’t impact the current project and possibly move to the older version. I know it’s never easy to guesstimate, but do you have a timeline on this fix?

          • As you mentioned, it’s not easy to necessarily provide an accurate timeframe on a fix, but this issue is making its way through our top-10 board.

I suspect a fix will be in place very early next week (though this is guesstimate) I hope that helps!

My apologies for the continued trouble!

          Hi Stephen,

Thank you for posting to the SurveyGizmo Community!

I checked in with our Development Team and there is currently an issue with the ‘allowdupe’ parameter for the Survey Contact Sub-Object in both v4 and v5 of the SurveyGizmo API.

This was not changed on purpose and is something that our Development Team will fix.

I’m very sorry for the trouble and happy to post updates here.

          Best regards,

            • I also wanted to mention that this issue does not currently impact v3 of the API (should that be a viable alternative for you for the time being).
