In Gravity Forms, when you create a field, you can name it one thing in the survey document, and call it another in what is called an “Administrative Field Label.” This allows you, if the question you are asking in the survey is lengthy, to have a shortened field name in a report, thus eliminating the need to shorten column headers and such in downloads. For instance, you can ask a question like “What is the name of your first pet?” in the survey, and just have “First Pet Name” show up in a report. Is this possible in SurveyGizmo?
Yes – in SurveyGizmo it is called the ALIAS, found on the LOGIC tab of the question. You can see the documentation for details – http://help.surveygizmo.com/help/article/link/using-question-aliases.
In the reports, you would open the CUSTOMIZE REPORT menu and go to the OPTIONS tab. Under the REPORT ELEMENTS TITLE header you would toggle off the HEADLINES and then select the USE ALIASES option.
