Adding an ICS file based off of question answers

0

Is it possible to create ICS files based off of question answers and then attach them to the email sent to the survey taker? I see that I can create a pdf as indicated here: https://script.surveygizmo.com/help/attaching-files-to-email but I don’t know what the process is to attach other file types. I’ve found this gist that would allow the ICS file generation: https://gist.github.com/jakebellacera/635416. The survey I have allows people to sign up for 1 or more shifts during a day (each day is a question). I would like to generate an ICS for each shift that they can add to their calendar.

SG has a document on including ICS files in SurveyGizmo surveys:

    https://help.surveygizmo.com/help/add-a-calendar-event

You would follow Steps 1 & 2 and refer to the PDF article that you referenced in terms of adding the file link to your email.

Since you need to have different ICS files depending on the question answers, you will likely need to create several Send Email Actions and use Logic to determine when each email should send:

    https://help.surveygizmo.com/help/setup-question-logic

I hope this helps you get started!

      • Thanks for the info! I saw that last night but I’m hoping there might be a way to generate the ICS files. Each survey would have close to 100 ICS files and I’m planning on around 10 surveys :(
