We are looking to build a survey that is 2 pages giving participants the option to submit the survey after the first page. The purpose of this is that the first page is an unanimous survey and they have the option to fill out more information including their name if they would like more information from us. Is this possible?
There are two ways that you can do this. Both methods will be triggered by a radio-button question that you place at the bottom of the first page – “Do you want to submit your contact information?” (or something like that).
1] Skip Pattern – Create a skip pattern (https://help.surveygizmo.com/help/set-up-skip-logic) between pages 1 and 2. Set up the logic in the skip pattern so that if the respondent does not want to enter their contact info, they are directed to the THANK YOU page.
2] Redirect to a Second Survey – your first survey is just the first page. Make the second page a separate survey. Create a REDIRECT TO URL action on the THANK YOU page of your first survey (https://help.surveygizmo.com/help/redirect-to-a-website) that directs respondents to the second survey. Set up the logic of the redirect so that only respondents who want to submit their contact info are directed to the second survey.
Either one of these methods will work. We normally use the second method in our environment because our clients want to keep the responses entirely separate from identifying information.
